A Global Culinary Journey: Michelin Star Chefs Return to Anantara Veli Maldives
Anantara Veli Maldives Resort is excited to announce the return of its renowned Michelin Star Guest Chef Series for 2025, focused on sustainability and culinary innovation. This exclusive event will feature world-class chefs from around the globe, each bringing their unique approach to sustainable cuisine.
The series kicks off on February 27 with chefs Michelle Goh and Pongcharn “Top” Russell from Mia Restaurant in Bangkok, offering a menu blending modern European and Asian influences. Throughout the year, guests will experience a range of culinary styles, from Japanese-Italian fusion with Chef Melvin Chou on March 13 to zero-waste cuisine with Chef Oli Marlow on April 17. Other highlights include Chinese-inspired dishes from Chef Victor Liong in May, refined French cuisine from Chef Arnaud Dunand in June, and British dishes from Chef Ricki Weston in July. The series will conclude in October with the return of Chef Simon Hulstone and a vegetable-focused menu by Chef Jeremy Gillon in December.
Each event will be held at the resort’s Japanese restaurant, Origami, offering an intimate dining experience for just 24 guests per night. With a focus on sustainability, the chefs will use ingredients from the resort’s Chef’s Garden, locally sourced produce, and create zero-waste dishes, aligning with Anantara Veli’s commitment to eco-friendly practices.
Chef Francis Purification, Culinary Director at Anantara Veli Maldives, reflects on the series’ success, stating, “This series provides an incredible opportunity for both our guests and culinary team to work alongside some of the world’s best chefs, learning new techniques and embracing sustainability.”
This year’s series promises to deliver unforgettable culinary experiences that blend luxury, sustainability, and creativity in a truly unique setting.
