New Departure Fee Introduced for Non-Residents Travelling from the Maldives

The Maldives has introduced a new departure fee for non-resident travelers, effective December 1, 2024. The fee, which varies by class, will fund the expansion of Velana International Airport, including a new terminal and VIP facilities set to open in 2025.
